Apple Announces 128GB iPad Starting at $799

Yesterday it was a rumor, but today Apple has officially confirmed that it will be releasing a 128GB iPad on February 5th.

This marks the first time Apple has increased the storage of the iPad since 2010. So far, you’ve been able to pick up the tablet in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. In other respects, it’s identical to the most recent iterations of the device.

The 128GB iPad is available in both black and white, and will set you back $799 (£639) for the Wi-Fi only model and $929 (£739) for the 4G model. Price points and release dates for other territories have yet to be confirmed.

They stil sell a 16GB iPad? Kinda useless, considering the increased size of retina-friendly apps. I’d love the higher capacity storage space, but the extra cost is ridiculous. And $130 extra for the 4G chip. No. I love my Apple stuff, but this is plain greedy, not something I typically associate with the Apple brand.
