Q Games has revealed that it’s next game, codenamed PixelJunk 1-6, will be a PC exclusive. The four-player co-op game will hit Steam at an unspecified date, and could come to consoles if there’s enough demand from fans. The four-person development team behind PixelJunk 1-6, helmed by PixelJunk 4am’s Rowan Parker, started it as a hobby project a little over a year ago, and will give PixelJunk fans an inside look at the creative process via their blog. Expect to see “development logs, concepts, technical notes and more” each week.
The PixelJunk blog also gives you a good idea of the art, tone, and approach to the co-op title without actually revealing many gameplay details — there are robots, baby robots, soup seems to be a valuable commodity constructed by astronauts. It’s weird, cute, and well in line with past PixelJunk games, 4am excluded.
