A high definition TV is required by anyone wishing to make use of the new split-screen feature in Minecraft 360.
Kotaku reports that many players have found themselves unable to access the game’s biggest new feature, and are being denied refunds from Microsoft.
The inclusion of a local multiplayer mode in the Xbox360 version of the game was seen as a big selling point as it differentiates the port from the PC version. However, there are no warnings about needing a HDTV on Xbox Live Marketplace and an in-game screen cautions players only once they’ve bought and are playing the game.
Some gamers are reporting that they’ve been able to receive a full refund from Microsoft, but just as many have had no joy. If you’ve had any problems let us know in the comments below.
