Obsidian Entertainment has worked on some of the biggest RPGs in the last decade. From Knights of the Old Republic 2 to Fallout: New Vegas, the studio has developed a reputation for producing sequels to beloved franchises.
Announced today by developer inXile, Obsidian Entertainment will now offer their knowledge, skills and tools to Wasteland 2 — if donations reach $2.1 million. At the time of this post the donations are sitting right around $1.7 million, with 17 days left to go on the project’s Kickstarter.
inXile has also set up a new website for people living in places where funding through Kickstarter isn’t possible. If you can use Paypal, you can pay for a copy of the upcoming Wasteland 2.
Wasteland 2’s turn-based, post-apocalyptic action is considered the spiritual predecessor to the Fallout franchise, and this collaboration would reunite many members of classic Fallout team.
